Tense-but-fun aero/tone intervals followed by advanced body sculpting. Keli’s no-nonsense style is ultra-effective, her cueing is ultra-motivating. The aerobics are controlled and easy-to-follow – lots of interesting combos and varied patterns (from mambos and cha chas to lunges and over-the-top hops). The 3 to 5-minute toning segments are also varied; they often build from isolations to multiple-muscle group routines (e.g. a delt raise to a one-legged squat to a combination of the two). The workout ends with mostly floorwork using the step to improve the body position or increase the range of motion.

Kickbutt Combatt – VHS Video
Entirely kickboxing focused, it’s a comprehensive medley of intense aerobics, kickbox-specific muscle toning and extended stretches. You’ll achieve the endurance, strength, stability, balance (and mental toughness) of this booming fitness phenomenon. The cardio segment alternates jump-rope intervals with a series of fast-paced jabs, punches, shuffles and high kicks. The toning section features very challenging, very concentrated routines to shape your shoulders, upper back, buttocks and legs. Throughout, Keli’s cuing is excellent — she always tells you what you’re doing and why. We use several rubber exercise devices; what’s actually required are 1 to 2 lb. dumbbells and a step (for the toning); a regular Dyna-Band and a jump rope would also be helpful.
